ARRL Foundation Scholarship Applications

Important notes about ARRL Foundation Scholarships:

  1. All applicants must hold an FCC amateur radio license.
  2. Most scholarships, except the Goldfarb Memorial Scholarship, are awarded for only one year.
  3. Applicants should apply only for those scholarships for which they qualify.
  4. The Goldfarb Memorial Scholarship is available to high school seniors only.
  5. The Goldfarb Scholarship requires a separate application form (available on this website).
  6. The Goldfarb Scholarship application requires financial information from the applicant's family to determine financial need.  A Federal Application for Student Aid (FAFSA) or Student Aid Request (SAR) form must accompany the Goldfarb Scholarship application .  The FAFSA or SAR may be based on the prior year's financial data. If awarded, an updated FAFSA or SAR  will be required as part of the calculation for the final award.
  7. All applications must be accompanied by a recent high school (or equivalent) or college transcript. Applications without transcripts will not be considered.  Transcripts need not accompany the application form and may be mailed separately.
  8. The scholarship application period opens on October 1 of each year and closes on February 1.
  9. All applications must be postmarked on or before February 1 - no exceptions.
  10. Applications may be sent with transcripts (either original or copy) to follow within two weeks if necessary.
